Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. This problem starting happening about 1 month after I installed Win 7. The trackpad would stop controlling the pointer icon and the buttons would not work. This would happen after the power saving software was awakened. Then a few weeks later I started getting blue screens with increasing frequency.
Then some new Norton antivirus popped up letting me know where my computer might be exposed and then it tried to sell itself to me. Then the blue screens started occuring more frequently.
Then my trackpoint stopped working after reboot. and still it has not ever come back, synaptic pointing device driver windows 7 download.
